my 5 worst and best purchases of 2023
Call me Rebecca Bloomwood and get me a green scarf, because this is my confession: I am a shopaholic. Like our friend Becky in the 2009 movie, I too feel that the world gets better when I shop.

Life update: What’s happened in 3 years
Life is funny, isn’t it? Nearly three years ago, I published an episode of the Self Care Podcast with a friend and ex-colleague, Georgia, about corporate burnout. Little did I know, that would foreshadow the future I was rapidly approaching. Not only did my then-current role take ALL my free time, my mental health, and my self-confidence, but it also took this very blog (and the podcast).

10 Lessons I’ve Learned Living with My Partner

Amidst the (understandable) panic of COVID-19, many companies are opting to keep as many employees as safe as possible and urging (or in some cases demanding) employees work remotely. And if you’re like me — currently sniffling your way through the day with an anxiety-inducing head cold — you’re grateful for the transition. No more coworkers in the office shuffling around zombie-style trying to give you the plague. Thanks, patient zero.

We Moved in Together
B and I were discussing upcoming adventures and plans for the rest of the year, and he says, “Speaking of adventures, what do you think about moving in with me?” Time stopped. I felt my ears radiating heat, my stomach in my throat, and my heart scratch like a record. Did he just ask me to move in with him? I was elated, nervous, nauseous, giddy, surprised, and every other emotion you can imagine all at once.
