JUMP Bikes

eBikes have been in Seattle for a while now, but I never had the urge to try them — until I saw a couple of bright red Jump bikes on the corner near the park.

Now owned by Uber, the rentable bike service is selected in the top menu of the Uber app. Prices are reasonable but are downright unbeatable if you join the Boost plan.

We’ve enjoyed our many after-dinner rides with the built-in lock, phone holder, lights, and electric motor to help with an added push up the hills.

Having outdoor space

Since moving to the city, there’s one thing that I’ve missed. Okay, obvi more than one — but whatever. Outdoor space! While my apartment building had a nice rooftop lounge, it's just not the same as having your own private space.

Since moving in with B, we’ve spent a lot of time and energy (and money) on our yard. The first area is nearly complete and has already been the centerpiece of many dinners. I’m thoroughly in love with the black-and-white theme, and can’t wait for all our new plants to grow!

The Sims 4

Quick poll: Who doesn’t love The Sims?

While not as morbid as I was as a teenager, (meaning I no longer let them drown or burn the house down) I still love creating myself and friends in this ever-so-slightly eerie virtual world.

Having expanded to Pets, Seasons, and now City Life, I can say that life in The Sims is good. I own a thriving vet hospital, live in a chic AF penthouse, and can eat whatever I want without gaining five hundred pounds. What’s not to love?

Hooked is an on-going series featured on the Avec David blog, and features one (or more) things that I’m hooked on at the moment. Note: I am not compensated in any way, nor do I have any affiliation for what’s shared (unless otherwise stated.)
